Letters of Support
I am writing to support Erica Zweifel for the 3rd ward City Council seat. I have served with Erica on the development board for the Cannon River STEM School (CRSS) and find her to be caring, capable and community-oriented. She loves Northfield and demonstrates this dedication through her work on the Environmental Quality Commission, chairing of the CRSS board and other volunteer endeavors that help shape and strengthen our community.
I have seen Erica navigate through various challenges where she has demonstrated strong leadership skills and an ability to achieve consensus. She listens, gets the facts, reaches a thoughtful conclusion and acts. She would be a tremendous asset to the city of Northfield as the 3rd ward representative on the city council.
Vote for Erica Zweifel!

I’m writing to ask Ward 3 residents to join me in voting for Erica Zweifel for City Council on Nov 4th. I’ve known Erica for many years and she is a kind, knowledgeable person who takes seriously her responsibilities as a resident. She is a great asset to Ward 3. Not only does she live and raise her family in this northwest corner of town, but she works here, tutors students at the neighborhood school, and is actively involved in many Ward 3 issues. She is truly vested. In particular, I am excited about Erica’s commitment to sustainability and responsible development. I know she will be a great advocate of Ward 3 and its part in Northfield’s future. Please join me in voting for Erica Zweifel this November.

Over the past year the development of the city’s new Comprehensive Plan and its implications for the Northfield of 2030 should have dominated the news, the City Council agenda and the daily talk in the shops and coffeehouses around town. But instead Northfield has been distracted by the bickering and posturing on the City Council that has pushed decisions on Northfield’s future off the front page and out of our daily conversations.
We need a change, which is why I support Erica Zweifel for City Council. We need City Council members who can refocus the talk in Northfield, who can engage the public in planning our future and shaping the kind of town we need to be in the 21st century.
Making policy decisions based on the new Comp Plan will require people who can think ahead 20 years and recognize opportunities for future needs that must be initiated now. I believe that Erica Zweifel is the type of bright, forward-thinking person for this task.
As a member of the Environmental Quality Commission, she has supported the Comp Plan’s vision of Northfield as a city that balances growth with protection of natural resources, and prosperity with sustainability. Please support Erica Zweifel for City Council.
